You know the coat. Lovely online, then the shiny lining tears at the armpit before February is out. This one is double-faced: the fabric is finished on both sides, so there is no thin lining inside to give up. Throw it over jeans for the school run or a jumper for the office, and you look like you made an effort when you didn't.
- No lining to tear. Double-faced wool blend, soft on the inside, with nothing scratchy or shiny against your jumper.
- Room for a proper jumper. A relaxed cut with dropped shoulders, sitting at mid-thigh (73 to 75 cm), so a chunky knit fits underneath.
- Goes over everything you own. Grey, camel or beige: the three colours that work with jeans, black trousers or a dress.
- Pockets you will actually use. Two deep patch pockets, notched lapels and a button front with two pairs of buttons.
- Bed socks in the box. Every coat comes with a free pair.
Fit and size
Cut loose on purpose. Our sizes run smaller than UK high-street sizes, so lay a coat you already own flat, measure it, and compare with the table (garment measurements in centimetres; allow 1 to 3 cm either way). Between sizes? Size up.

Fabric and care
A wool and cotton blend, not pure wool. Dry clean only. Hang it on a wide hanger between wears and brush it gently.
Worth knowing
The dropped shoulders make the sleeves look a little shorter than on a fitted coat: that is the cut. The coat arrives with a small woven label on the left sleeve, which you can see in the last three photos.

All measurements in centimetres, taken on the garment; chest is all round. Allow 1 to 3 cm either way. The UK column is our estimate: it picks the size that leaves 24 cm of room over a typical UK bust.
How to measure
A Chest: straight across, armpit to armpit. Double it for the all-round figure.
B Shoulder: seam to seam across the back.
C Length: top of the shoulder down to the hem.
D Sleeve: shoulder seam to the cuff.

Questions
Is it warm enough for a proper UK winter?
For everyday cold, yes: it is a dense double-faced wool blend with room for a jumper underneath, made for the school run, the commute and the dog walk. It is not padded or waterproof, so on freezing or wet days layer a jumper and a scarf under it.
Will it look cheap in real life?
The fabric is finished on both sides, so there is no shiny lining showing at the cuffs or the hem, and the measurements are in centimetres so the fit holds no surprises. If it arrives not as described, email us a photo within 30 days and we will replace it or refund you, including postage.
Is it real wool?
It is a wool and cotton blend, not pure wool.
Will it look like the photos?
The colour, fabric and cut you see are what we send. If it turns up damaged or not as described, email us a photo within 30 days and we will replace it or refund you, including postage.
When will it arrive?
Usually 10 to 17 days from order, tracked all the way; your estimated arrival date is shown above. Order several pieces and they can come in separate parcels, each with its own tracking.
What if it doesn't fit, or I change my mind?
You have 30 days from delivery. Send it back unworn, with the tags on and in its original packaging; socks must still be sealed. You pay the return postage, with no returns fee on top.
Will I pay anything on delivery?
No. Prices include UK VAT and there are no customs or import charges to pay.
