An evening dress earns its place by how it moves, not just how it looks on a hanger. This one is fitted through the body in a soft velvet, gathered into a twisted knot at the waist, with a wrapped drape across the skirt. Long sleeves keep the cold off on the way to the car, no shrug required.
- Twisted waist knot. Gathers the velvet into a defined waist instead of a plain seam.
- Long sleeves. Full-length and cut close, so they sit neatly under a coat on the way there.
- Front wrap drape. A wrapped overlay across the skirt, gathered up into the knot.
- Boat neckline. Sits straight across the collarbone, structured rather than held by straps.
- Soft velvet pile. A polyester-spandex velvet with stretch for movement.

The skirt is a wrap overlay gathered into the waist knot. Check the length row against a long dress you already own if you're petite or tall.

How to measure
A Chest: straight across, armpit to armpit. Double it for the all-round figure.
B Shoulder: seam to seam across the back.
C Length: top of the shoulder down to the hem.
D Sleeve: shoulder seam to the cuff.

Is it true velvet?
It's a polyester-spandex velvet (95% polyester, 5% spandex), not cotton or silk velvet. The pile has the same soft, light-catching finish.
Will the waist knot work on every shape?
The knot sits at the natural waist and gathers the fabric rather than pulling tight, so it suits curvier and straighter shapes alike. Check the bust measurement in the table against a fitted dress you already own.
What length is it?
It measures 119 to 123cm from shoulder to hem, depending on size. On most heights that falls between mid-calf and ankle, so check the length row against a long dress you already own.
Will it look like the photos?
The colour, fabric and cut you see are what we send. If it turns up damaged or not as described, email us a photo within 30 days and we will replace it or refund you, including postage.
When will it arrive?
Usually 10 to 17 days from order, tracked all the way; your estimated arrival date is shown above. Order several pieces and they can come in separate parcels, each with its own tracking.
What if it doesn't fit, or I change my mind?
You have 30 days from delivery. Send it back unworn, with the tags on and in its original packaging; socks must still be sealed. You pay the return postage, with no returns fee on top.
Will I pay anything on delivery?
No. Prices include UK VAT and there are no customs or import charges to pay.
