An off-the-shoulder neckline changes how a dress wears all evening: nothing to adjust, nothing slipping off a strap. This one is a fitted velvet mermaid gown with long sleeves, so the shoulders stay bare while the arms stay covered, finished with a front split for movement.
- Off-the-shoulder neckline. A straight, fitted neckline held in place by the structured bodice rather than straps.
- Mermaid silhouette. Fitted through the body to the knee, then flares out, so it skims rather than clings everywhere.
- Long sleeves. Full-length sleeves balance the bare shoulders, keeping it warmer for winter evenings.

Worth knowing
The mermaid cut is fitted through the hip and thigh, so check the bust and waist rows in the table against a close-fitting dress you already own.

All measurements in centimetres, taken on the garment; chest is all round. Allow 1 to 3 cm either way. The UK column is our estimate: it picks the size that leaves 16 cm of room over a typical UK bust.
How to measure
A Chest: straight across, armpit to armpit. Double it for the all-round figure.
B Shoulder: seam to seam across the back.
C Length: top of the shoulder down to the hem.
D Sleeve: shoulder seam to the cuff.

Questions
Does it stay up without straps?
Yes. The neckline is cut straight and structured rather than held by straps, so it's designed to stay in place through normal wear and movement.
Is it warm enough with bare shoulders?
The long sleeves and velvet weight help, but the shoulders are still bare, so a wrap or shrug is worth having for outside and travel between venues.
How fitted is the mermaid cut?
It's close through the body from bust to knee before the skirt flares, so it runs closer to the body than an A-line dress. Check the waist and bust measurements in the table.
Will it look like the photos?
The colour, fabric and cut you see are what we send. If it turns up damaged or not as described, email us a photo within 30 days and we will replace it or refund you, including postage.
When will it arrive?
Usually 10 to 17 days from order, tracked all the way; your estimated arrival date is shown above. Order several pieces and they can come in separate parcels, each with its own tracking.
What if it doesn't fit, or I change my mind?
You have 30 days from delivery. Send it back unworn, with the tags on and in its original packaging; socks must still be sealed. You pay the return postage, with no returns fee on top.
Will I pay anything on delivery?
No. Prices include UK VAT and there are no customs or import charges to pay.
